Socrates Sculpture Park – Astoria, Queens

Cunningham Park – Queens

One of the largest parks in Queens,  Cunningham Park is a hidden gem known for its many walking trails, specific dog-friendly areas, and sports fields. Whether your dog prefers to run in open fields or walk along a shaded path, Cunningham Park offers plenty of options. With a less crowded atmosphere, it’s the perfect escape for those seeking a quiet escape for a day.

Marine Park – Brooklyn 

Marine Park is Brooklyn’s largest park, covering over 500 acres of land. It contains several amenities, including bicycle paths, designated leash-free areas for dogs, playgrounds, and access to a launch and landing area at Gerritsen Inlet. There are also many events hosted at the park, such as open runs, local sporting events, dog-group gatherings and more. Its location is especially convenient to dog owners because it is situated close to a number of dog cafes and pet stores.

Fort Tryon Park – Upper Manhattan

Nestled in Upper Manhattan,  Fort Tryon Park is home to Manhattan’s largest dog run, several Palisades overlook points, as well as the  Met Cloisters museum. The park also hosts many events and guided walks throughout the seasons that can be found on their  events calendar. Whether you’re looking for a hiking trail, open field, or ideal picnic spot to share with your dog, Fort Tryon Park is the perfect place.

Barretto Point Park – The Bronx

Situated on the East River waterfront,  Barretto Point Park is the perfect spot to relax with your pup. It boasts a large green field and river promenade with a small beach area that park-goers can also enjoy.
